Bridge Beat

Description

A delightful section of double bank fishing from the Greta Bridge to the rather large and obvious Scotchmans Stone on the north bank. Eastwood Hall can be seen just upstream on the opposite bank. From the stone, fishing is limited to single north bank fishing as far as the upstream field boundary at Brignall Glebe. This field contains the ruins of St. Mary's Church.

Fishing tips

Travel as light as possible. A short rod and light tackle are recommended here. A wading staff is essential. Notify somebody before setting off and carry a mobile phone as this is a remote location.
